Walnut Record Stand | “Now Playing” Album Display

The Walnut & Metal “Now Playing” Record Stand

There is a distinct ritual to vinyl—sliding the record from its sleeve, gently dropping the needle, and settling into a favorite chair with the liner notes. This “Now Playing” record stand was born out of a desire to elevate that listening experience. Instead of propping your album jacket against a speaker or leaving it flat next to the turntable, this premium LP display stand gives the artwork its own dedicated, architectural home. It anchors your listening station, adds a touch of classic mid-century warmth to your setup, and serves as an exceptional gift for music lovers and anyone truly dedicated to their vinyl collection.

Handmade in my Southern California workshop, each piece is a minimalist combination of solid walnut hardwood and clean architectural metal. The heavy wood base provides the perfect counterweight, ensuring that single or thick double-gatefold albums balance securely in the precision-cut groove without tipping. Because wood is a natural product, every single solid wood record display features its own unique, beautiful grain signature with natural variations from piece to piece.

The Ultimate Gift for Vinyl Record Collectors

If you are searching for a high-end audiophile gift, a unique birthday gift, or a luxury upgrade to a friend’s turntable setup, this “Now Spinning” record stand is designed to impress. It functions beautifully as a compact tabletop vinyl record holder or a desk album display, blending high-fidelity passion with heirloom-quality wood craftsmanship.

Choose Your Metal Style

To perfectly match your audio gear, components, or room aesthetic, you can customize the metal accent rods supporting your album using the dropdown menu:

• Solid Brass: For a warm, classic, golden mid-century aesthetic.
• Stainless Steel (Silver): For a sleek, modern, industrial appearance.

Dimensions & Effortless Assembly

• Base Length: ~7.5″ to 8″
• Base Width: 2.25″
• Base Thickness: ~.875″
• Record Groove: 1/2″ wide (Engineered to effortlessly hold almost all single and thick double-gatefold albums)
• Total Height: 6″ (Once rods are inserted)

Assembly of these luxury vinyl accessories is entirely tool-free: Simply insert the metal rods into the pre-drilled holes until they seat flush against the base. If they feel tight, a light tap with a rubber mallet or similar tool will help seat the rods into the base fully. The friction-fit design creates a rock-solid, elegant backrest instantly.

Made to Order & Safely Shipped

Every single stand is built from scratch by me. Because this is an authentic handmade process, please allow 1 to 2 weeks for your piece to be crafted (it may ship sooner if I am currently running a batch—feel free to message me for a real-time schedule update).

Shipping is free to the continental United States (CONUS) via USPS, FedEx, or UPS. I pack each stand in heavy paper and bubble wrap so it arrives at your door flawlessly. Once shipped, delivery typically takes 2 to 6 business days depending on your distance from Southern California. While I do not routinely ship internationally, feel free to reach out for a custom shipping estimate.

A Decade of Handmade Craftsmanship

I have been designing and building mid-century modern walnut furniture—including coffee tables, side tables, and ledges—since 2014. Walnut is an incredible material to work with, and I bring the exact same obsessive attention to detail, hand-sanding, and finishing to these record stands as I do to my full-sized custom furniture pieces.

Please feel free to look around the shop, and don’t hesitate to reach out if you have a custom table or ledge idea you’d like to collaborate on!
